Terms of Use
Laundry Boyz LLC is pleased to provide a pickup and delivery laundry service to you, subject to your compliance with and acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth below. Please read the following provisions carefully. Your use of the Laundry Boyz service indicates your agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions contained herein. This agreement is strictly between Laundry Boyz and its customers and does not in any way constitute or imply any relationship with any other parties.
Delivery Schedule
The pickup and delivery schedule will be posted the week before classes begin. If you the customer are not able to be present at your residence for your specific pickup time, please contact us immediately so we can accommodate your needs. Each customer is allowed one (1) pickup per week. Any additional pickups will be charged $0.75 per pound. Delivery will take place within 24 hours of the time your laundry was picked up.
Missed/Unattended Pickup or Delivery
If the customer misses a scheduled pickup during a given week, you may call Laundry Boyz to pick up your laundry on a different day during that week at no cost. However, if you neglect to contact us by the end of that school week for a missed pickup, you automatically forfeit the service for that week and it does not rollover to the next school week nor will it be refunded. Laundry Boyz will contact you by phone when we are present at your residence for delivery. If you are not present, that is not a problem, just call us and we can arrange a different delivery time.
Payment
The customer must pay the agreed-upon charges prior to service. Services that have been paid for but go unused do not carry over from week-to-week, or from service term to service term. Laundry Boyz will not provide a refund for any under-utilization of services. All sales are final and all payments are non-refundable. In the event that the customer's Laundry Boyz laundry bag weighs more than he/she paid for, a fee of $1.00 will be charged for each additional pound. In the event Laundry Boyz picks up the customer's laundry more than once per week, the customer will be charged $0.75 per pound for each additional pickup, and sent an invoice with the customer’s balance due by email. With regards to the “Pay-Per-Wash” plan, an invoice will be sent by email and must be paid within thirty (30) days of payment. If payment is not made within the given thirty (30) days, Laundry Boyz reserves the right to charge $5 each additional day payment is not made.
Refunds
All sales are final and all payments are non-refundable.
Inventory Sheets
Inventory sheets for each pickup are available here or at the bottom of each page . Inventory sheets are to be used for the sole purpose of keeping track of items. Laundry Boyz, in its sole discretion, may choose not to fulfill special requests put on inventory sheets. Inventory sheets are not mandatory, however they do insure that Laundry Boyz will be responsible for all items recorded on the inventory sheet. If the inventory sheet is filled out, Laundry Boyz will check to make sure that the items listed match the items in the garment bag. Laundry Boyz is not responsible for any items not listed on the inventory sheets. Laundry Boyz reserves the right to complete an inventory sheet if the customer has failed to do so based on the items inside the bag without notice to the customer. If there is a discrepancy between what is listed on any inventory sheet and the actual items in the bag, Laundry Boyz reserves the right to change the inventory sheet and, based on a careful examination, make the final determination about the actual contents of the bag without notice to the customer. The customer hereby consents to any such changes. Laundry Boyz does not consent to the accuracy of any inventory sheet completed by the customer.
Garment Care
Laundry Boyz will use reasonable efforts to maintain a high quality cleaning service. Laundry Boyz accepts no liability for damage due to normal cleaning of items without care instructions, and accepts no liability for items treated in accordance with the care labels or other instructions provided. Laundry Boyz accepts no liability for "special care" items that require special attention to be cleaned or dried. Laundry Boyz is not responsible for clothing bleeding, shrinking, or otherwise changing as a result of normal washing and drying procedures. Precautions will be taken to alleviate these problems if possible (i.e. separation of darks and whites). Laundry Boyz reserves the right to refuse to clean any garment. Laundry Boyz does not guarantee the removal of all stains. Laundry Boyz will have its laundry service re-clean items that, in its sole discretion, were not properly cleaned and have not been worn since they were cleaned. Laundry Boyz is not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal or non-cleanable items left in the laundry bags such as money, jewelry, or any other item. The customer agrees not to leave such items in its clothing or in its laundry bags. If Laundry Boyz does find such items in the customer’s laundry bag, we will place them back in the bag upon delivery.
Loss or Damage
In the rare instance that your garment is lost or damaged by Laundry Boyz, we will issue you a refund or credit for the value of that garment, as specified in the National Fair Claims Guide from the International Fabricare Institute ("IFI"). This guide takes into account the average life of the garment, depreciation for the age of the item, and the current replacement cost. If the customer is unable to document the age of a garment, the customer can attest to the age but Laundry Boyz, in its sole discretion, may limit the minimum age of any garment to one year. If no current replacement cost is available (e.g., because the item is no longer available in stores), Laundry Boyz may use the replacement cost of a comparable item currently available. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the maximum reimbursement for each individual item is $50. Although Laundry Boyz is not liable for damage or loss due to the fault of its third-party cleaners or service providers, we may, in our sole discretion, choose to reimburse the customer in these events pursuant to the IFI standards described above.
We are not liable for any preexisting damage to garments. If we find any preexisting damage or have a concern about the colorfastness, or the age or weakness of the fabric, we will contact you to obtain your approval before proceeding to care for the item. If we are unable to obtain your authorization in a timely manner, then we may return the item without cleaning it.
Missing or damaged items must be reported to us within three (3) days of delivery of the item(s). If you believe that Laundry Boyz is in possession of an item but we have no record of its pickup, we request that you inform us immediately so we can start an investigation and you can search at your residence. If, after seven (7) days, the item has not been found, we may compensate you for the loss of the item in accordance with the IFI guide, at our discretion. Claims for items submitted in a garment bag will not be honored without an inventory sheet.
Use of Third-Party Service Providers
Laundry Boyz reserves the right to utilize any outsourcer, vendor, or outside service provider, for any service, in its sole discretion, without notice to the customer. Laundry Boyz is not responsible for, and will not be held liable for, any damage or loss due to the acts or omissions of its vendors, third party outsourcers, or service providers.
Disclaimer
Laundry Boyz liability shall be limited to general money damages in a maximum amount not to exceed the charges for the term of service paid by the customer during the term in which the damages are alleged to have occurred. This liability shall be the extent of Laundry Boyz liability regardless of the form in which any legal or equitable action may be brought and the foregoing shall constitute the customer's exclusive remedy. In no event will Laundry Boyz be held liable or be responsible for any consequential, special, indirect, incidental or punitive loss or damages, whether or not Laundry Boyz knew or should have known of the likelihood of any such loss or damages. Laundry Boyz disclaims all warranties, express or implied, with respect to the services rendered to the customer.
